ABOUT THIS PROJECT

What it took

A custom lake house in Freedom, New Hampshire, overlooking Ossipee Lake. Nine months from breaking ground to the Certificate of Occupancy, and most of that through a New Hampshire winter.

The best part of this one was how closely we worked with the owners while it went up. Their ideas and their needs changed as the house took shape, and the crew and our trade partners kept adjusting with them, so the finished house reflects how they actually wanted to live on the lake rather than what was drawn a year earlier.

A house this size on that schedule only works if everybody is pulling the same direction. Coordination, flexibility, and a shared commitment to doing it the right way, from our crew and from every trade who set foot on the site.

Modern kitchen with white upper cabinets, gray lower cabinets, black hardware, black granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and two windows with a view of trees.

Living room with beige leather sofa, black fireplace, large flat-screen TV, built-in cabinets, wooden sliding glass door leading to balcony, and ceiling fan.

A hallway in a house with white walls and wooden flooring, leading to a dining area with a table and chairs, a sliding glass door, and a view of trees outside.

Bedroom with two windows, dark gray walls, a white bunk bed with drawers, a small bed with green blanket, beige armchair, and hardwood floor.

A newly built two-story house with gray siding, white garage doors, and multiple windows. Tall trees are in the background, and there are some equipment and garbage bins on the dirt driveway in front.

Empty wooden deck attached to a house with sliding glass doors, overlooking a wooded area with tall trees.
